Mi + Matt celebrated with their loved ones with both a Pyebaek & American ceremony this past June. It was such a huge honor to photograph their intimate Leavenworth wedding at Na-Mu Lodge!
The intimate wedding day
Private vows + their ceremonies
Mi and Matt had two wedding ceremonies: a Korean/Pyebaek Ceremony in the morning, and then an American traditional ceremony in the evening. And before putting on their American wedding dresses & tying the knot at their second ceremony, they did a first look and private vows – which always get me teary-eyed.
Private vows are such a wonderful way to spend your first look time together. Especially if you’d rather keep your vows intimate and not say them in front of your guests, this time makes for such a special moment between you both.
The food
Even though they said their vows in private, Mi & Matt really made the effort to involve their loved ones throughout their big day. They ate brunch that their parents made and then had dinner catered by a yummy BBQ place in Seattle.
And they even had donuts for dessert from Raised Doughnuts – a donut shop that Mi actually owns!
Wedding party & couples portraits at Lake Wenatchee
After all the formal stuff was over with, we headed to a random trailhead I found at Lake Wenatchee for some photos with their wedding party members. And we had to get couples portraits of the two of them, of course – with Mi rocking her Vervain Watters dress & Matt lookin’ like a total stud in his velvet emerald suit. Who says your suit has to be black, blue, or gray?
Overall, this was such a chill, easy, and enjoyable day all around. There was so much laughter and joy everywhere you looked, and everybody who attended was incredibly kind and welcoming. Plus, Noodles (Mi’s dog) made an appearance and wandered around all day, taking it in – the star of the show. What a privilege to be part of this day.
About Na-Mu Lodge
I can’t leave you without talking about the stunning lodge Mi & Matt got married at – Na-Mu Lodge in Leavenworth, WA.
Na-Mu is just five minutes from downtown Leavenworth, that cute little Bavarian-style town you’ve probably heard about if you’re familiar with Washington state. The lodge can host weddings of 30 guests or less, and ceremonies take place on the super beautiful back patio with breathtaking mountain views that you see in these photos. And in the winter, the lodge looks pretty freaking beautiful covered in snow!
