July 28, 2021

Looking for the perfect Airbnb in western Washington for your intimate Airbnb wedding? Keep reading for 5 of my favorite, cozy places to stay!

I’ve fallen in love with small Airbnb weddings + backyard weddings in western WA lately, especially in the wake of COVID-19. So I wanted to give you places that both my couples & I have loved and had great experiences at. Western Washington is full of super beautiful places to stay, so this is not a definitive list by any means – but a great way to get started on your search!

An important thing to keep in mind

One thing I want to make sure I let you know before you pick an Airbnb & start planning your wedding: not all Airbnb’s technically “allow” events.

I’ve photographed elopements at each one of these Airbnb’s before, but it’s still important to make sure you reach out to the host in advance to ask them for permission. And if you’re looking into Airbnb’s other than these specific ones, make sure you do the same.

Oftentimes, even if the listing says events aren’t allowed, hosts will make exceptions for tiny weddings/elopements if you reach out and ask. So please make sure you’re following the property’s rules and not making a mess of their space by holding your elopement there without permission and not cleaning up after yourselves!

3. A-Frame Cabin in Ashford, WA

The Location

Next up is our second A-frame cabin on this list, this time in Ashford, WA. It sits about 80 miles from Seattle, 6 miles from Mount Rainier NP’s Nisqually Entrance, and 40 miles from the Stevens Canyon Entrance. That means that Rainier is also pretty dang accessible from this cabin, especially the Nisqually Entrance on the southwest side of the park! It’s also only a 1-minute walk from the Nisqually River and is surrounded by beautiful, tall trees.

4. Na-Mu Lodge in Leavenworth, WA

The Location

Na-Mu lodge is located just a mile from downtown Leavenworth, that cute little Bavarian-style town you’ve probably heard about or been to before. It’s a super stunning lodge that I just visited for the first time for Mi + Matt’s Leavenworth wedding (which will be up on the blog soon!), and that I want more couples to know about!

The lodge can host weddings with under 30 guests, and ceremonies take place on the super beautiful back patio with breathtaking mountain views. In the wintertime, the lodge looks pretty freaking cool covered in snow, too!
