Frank and Olivia’s Lake Cushman Engagement Photos

When Frank reached out about booking an engagement session and proposing to Olivia I was so excited and honored. They chose Lake Cushman (Olympic National Forest – Lake Cushman Area) as their location and I was stoked. My husband and I got married at Lake Cushman in 2017. It’s a really special place to me and I know the area like the back of my hand.

Frank and I chatted the day before their session to make a plan for his proposal. He threw Olivia off by telling her the ring they picked out together hadn’t arrived yet. We made it even sneakier by planning the proposal right in the middle of the session. Safe to say Olivia was surprised and very psyched.

Their session started at Hoodsport Park in the moss covered trees. After this, we made our way down to Lincoln Creek, right outside of Olympic National Park, for the surprise proposal. The day ended by driving along the lakeshore and stopping at a few of my favorite photo spots for some more traditional engagement photos. I had the best time adventuring around Lake Cushman with these two. The ease in which they interact with each other made for an authentic and laid-back session. I feel truly honored to have been asked to document their proposal and engagement.
