Year In Review: A Look Back at Every Session/Elopement in 2021

December 17, 2021

2021 – what a year. I know we said that same thing about 2020, but honestly, this year kinda felt like a 2020 redo. With all of the weddings that got postponed or canceled, this past year has been focused on celebrating the couples that didn’t get to celebrate last year, in addition to all the couples who originally planned a 2021 wedding.

And honestly, 2021 was really tough. Along with the overwhelm of catching up from 2020 reschedules, I had a lot of travel this year. Which was absolutely wonderful, especially because I got to do it with the most rad humans. But it was definitely a lot.

My personal climbing plans also didn’t go as expected. I had multiple Rainier summits planned throughout the warmer season, and none of them panned out as planned. It was definitely a year full of disappointment and then learning to push through & move forward.

One of the highlights of my year: I did two days of mini sessions and raised $4400 for the American Lung Association thanks to my clients! Super grateful to everyone who made this possible.

Despite all the stuff that went wrong this past year, I’m still really thankful for all of the experiences I had and for my incredible clients. I’m really looking forward to taking it slower & easier in 2022; being intentional about rest and taking on less work.

Now that I’ve done just a little reflecting, let’s take a look back at all of the amazing couples that made all the hard times worth it this year! Below, I’ve included one photo from every session, wedding, & elopement I photographed in 2021. So go ahead and check out all the epic places I got to visit, and the awesome people I got to work with.
